I am an ecologist interested in a diverse range of fields, including community and molecular ecology, evolutionary biology, biogeography and systematics and conservation.​

I explore and test ecological questions by modelling data on a variety of taxa — including plants, mammals and invertebrates, particularly spiders — to try to understand past and present patterns in biodiversity.​
